If you have the Viewer role in a discussion (see: Participant Rights and Roles), you will not be able to create claims directly. Instead, if you follow the same steps as Creating a Claim, you will be able to suggest a claim which can be accepted by any discussion Admin. Until a suggested claim is accepted, it is only visible to you and discussion Admins.
Once you’ve suggested a claim, you can add additional suggestions (both Pros and Cons) under your suggestion.
You can also move your suggestion to another location if you later realize there’s somewhere it would fit better. To do so, click the ‘Move’ button located just below your suggested claim. The claim will appear in your clipboard at the bottom left-hand corner of the screen (see: Moving/Linking a Claim) for you to move elsewhere.
If you decide you no longer wish to suggest a claim after you have submitted it, click the ‘Archive’ button to archive it. Archived claims will not appear as notifications for discussion Admins to review, however, you can edit or move them. You can also unarchive one of your archived suggested claims. To unarchive a suggested claim, click the 'My Suggested Claims' tab from the Discussion Menu, check 'Show archived suggestions', select the appropriate claim, and click ‘Unarchive’.
If you wish to add a comment to your suggested claim, for example, to clarify it further, you can comment on the claim after you’ve suggested it.
When responding to suggestions, Admins can either accept them or comment on them to discuss them with you and/or other Admins - for example, to collaboratively fix an issue before accepting the claim.
When your suggested claim is accepted or an Admin has replied, you will receive a notification.
