You must have Admin permissions<\/a> or higher to invite participants to a discussion.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>

Users must be on your contact list<\/a> to invite them by their username. Inviting a user by their email address will add them to your contact list.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>

To invite participants to a discussion:<\/p>

    \n
  1. Click the Share<\/strong> button located in the top-right of a discussion.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Click Invite<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. In the ‘Invite to this Discussion<\/strong>‘ section, click Invite Users<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. In the first field, type the email address(es) you want to invite, separated by spaces, or select users from your contact list<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Under ‘Role’<\/strong>, select the participant role<\/a> you would like to invite the users with.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Optionally, you can include a message and\/or choose to send an email notification to the users you invite.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. Once ready, click Invite<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>

    From the ‘Invite to this Discussion<\/strong>‘ section, you can also invite a Kialo Team<\/a> to the discussion or import from Google Classroom<\/a>.<\/p>

    Alternatively, you can enable Link Sharing<\/a>, which allows users who follow the link to access the discussion with a specified role.<\/p>

    If a user has disabled email invites<\/a>, they can only be invited by their username, requiring them to be on your contact list.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
