Not to be confused with the Disabling Email Invites<\/a> option, which prevents users from inviting you via your email address.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>

By default, your email address can appear in certain places to other users, such as when a user on your Contact List<\/a> wants to invite participants to a discussion<\/a>. This can be useful to easily identify other users. For example, teachers with large classes may require students to display their emails to not have to remember which display name<\/a> each student is using. If desired, this can be disabled.<\/p>

Only users who you already have a connection with (for example, being in the same discussion or team<\/a>) are able to view your email address as a result of this option being enabled.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>

To hide <\/strong>your email address from other users:<\/p>

  1. Open your User Settings<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Uncheck <\/strong>the ‘Show my email address to other users’ <\/strong>option.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>
